Kendriya Vidyalaya Kathua is like an infant opened in 2003 only three year old and is trying hard to attain desired heights. All the members of the staff are working very hard for the all round development of the child, which is the main objective of opening the KVS. For this purpose sports and games at various levels, co-curricular activities, creative activities like science and social science exhibitions are being organized at various levels to explore the hidden talents of the child.

KV Kathua is a civil sector Vidyalaya where in children from low strata of society also get education. Also the Vidyalaya is functioning under very hard constraints due to shortage of infrastructure, but they are not going to restrict us from achieving our goals. At the same time, the Vidyalaya is not lagging behind in adopting modern means of education like Computers, Internet, E-mailing and I am feeling an immense pleasure in launching the Vidyalaya website so as to ensure its presence at national level and which will highlight the Vidyalaya functioning in all respects.
