“The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet.” – Aristotle From humble beginnings in 2003, PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Kathua has blossomed into a distinguished institution, a testament to the unwavering dedication of its educators and the boundless potential of its students. As the principal of this esteemed school, I am honored to witness the transformative power of education unfold within these walls every day.
We are proud to be part of the illustrious Kendriya Vidyalaya family, a network of schools that has been
instrumental in providing quality education to the children of our nation’s heroes – the central government employees, other government employees, defense personnel along with civilian population. Our school, nestled in the heart of Kathua, is a microcosm of this grand vision, catering to over 900 young minds from diverse backgrounds.

At PM Shri KV Kathua, we believe in fostering an environment where curiosity is nurtured, and intellect
is ignited. Our dedicated faculty, strives to create an engaging and enriching learning experience for
each student. We offer a comprehensive curriculum, from Class I to Class XII, with only science stream
at plus two level, preparing our students to excel in their chosen fields.
