Genesis

Kendriya Vidyalaya Kathua is located in Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir. Established in April 2003,it has started working in a temporary building for classes I to VIII. Later on in June 2018 the school has been shifted to its own new building. New building is situated at Janglote Morh near Kalibari, Kathua. It has been upgraded for class XI in the year 2019 and then XII in science stream. From 1st to class 10th it is double section school with single section in class XI and XII.
It caters to the educational needs of children from transferable Central Government employees, including Defense and Para-Military personnel. The school follows the curriculum prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and collaborates with the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). KV Kathua strives for excellence in education, emphasizing both academic and co-curricular activities.
